Brendan Power RIP
It is with great sadness that Kilmacud Crokes notes the passing Brendan Power, who was instrumental in the formation of our club in 1966.
Through his direct contribution, or through the love of the game and the Club that he passed to his children and beyond, Brendan Power made possible what those involved in Hurling in Kilmacud Crokes today enjoy.
Brendan hurled for Crokes Hurling Club in the 50s and 60s, including a spell as captain of the Senior Team. He was instrumental in the merger with Kilmacud in 1966 and the formation of Kilmacud Crokes.
He continued a very active role in Hurling in the club and as an administrator and active club member in the club generally.
His children, their spouses and off-spring, have played and contributed to all codes in the club and many continue to have key roles.
His legacy continues and his contribution should be marked by attendance at his removal or funeral by club members.
