U21s THROUGH TO SEMI-FINAL ON SATURDAY NEXT

U21 Q final : Kilmacud Crokes 2:6 St Sylvesters 1:8
Crokes U21s qualified for the Semi-final of the Dublin A Football Championship with a narrow one point win over St Sylvesters. They can thank Brian Hanamy for netting three minutes from time to put them two points up approaching injury time. Sylvesters rallied down the other end with one last attack but could only secure a pointed free before the final whistle.
Playing against the wind, the Crokes defence held Syls very well in the first half, confining them to just three points. Crokes went in at half time two points up thanks to a well taken Brian Hanamy goal and two fine points from Mark Coughlan.
At the start of the second half, Crokes scored three points without reply through Coughlan, Ciaran O'Grady and Barry O'Rorke to lead by five. However, Sylvesters through a penalty and three subsequent points found themselves in the lead with ten minutes to go. David Higgins pulled one back before Hanamy flicked a goal at the end to secure a semi final spot against Lucan (on Sat next in 12th Lock)
