IMPORTANT NOTICE RE. MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT DIKTAT FROM GAA

Members of a sports club should pay their membership fee; that's a pretty obvious stipulation in any club whether GAA or other code. This year, payment of your Kilmacud GAA Club membership takes on added significance arising from recent, and profound, Co. Board advice to all clubs:
"On the subject of insurance and membership, and especially in these increasingly litigious times, it is imperative that your players have paid their annual membership fee to your club. Players who have not paid their membership fee are not members of the Association and are not covered under the GAA Players Injury Scheme / Public Liability Schemes. Club Officers who allow players be selected on club teams will be leaving themselves personally exposed to a lawsuit in the event that a non member is injured"
Your Kilmacud membership falls due on the 1st of January each year and should have been paid by now some 2 months later. The Executive has decided that outstanding memberships must be paid by next Saturday 5th March to facilitate registration of players and mentors. After that date players are not insured to train with or play for any Kilmacud team if their membership is not paid and they are not properly registered.
If your membership subscription is still outstanding, please pop in or phone the office as soon as possible this week (Tel 2880857). The office will open specially for this purpose on Thursday evening (6-9pm) and on Saturday (11am-2pm).
Please note that a Standing Order is available this year to spread payments over 5 months - this should help greatly. Please respect the club and your fellow members by ensuring your account is fully up-to-date before the week is out!
