U21s BOW OUT TO IMPRESSIVE LUCAN (1-16 / 2-8)
Body

On a beautiful but freezing cold Saturday in Adamstown, Lucan Sarsfields proved too strong for an understrength Crokes team in the U21 championship semi-final today. Lucan raced into an early 0-5 to 0-1 lead but Crokes worked their way back into the game as the half progressed. A David Higgins penalty after 25 mins put a better look on the scoreboard with Lucan ahead 1-6 to 0-7 at half-time. A physically strong Lucan side dominated the 2nd half, aided by some lovely point-taking by their skilful and athletic forward line. Despite the valiant efforts of Crokes, right up to the final whistle, the result was never in doubt. We wish the boys in green and white the very best in the final!
